About

Andreas Riseng is a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a long-standing passion for Ford Cosworth vehicles of the 1980s and 1990s. Having owned his first car, a rear-wheel-drive Sierra Sapphire Cosworth, since 2006, he has spent nearly two decades developing his knowledge of the platform through continuous hands-on work and engineering.

His interest in product development grew during his time at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where he helped establish Norway’s first Formula Student team between 2010 and 2012. After completing his master’s degree in Product Development in 2014, he founded RisengDesign and invested in a Haas VF-2 three-axis machining centre to bring product development and manufacturing in-house.

Since then, the workshop has expanded with a fourth axis on the VF-2 and, in 2026, a Haas ST-10 CNC lathe with bar feeder. This equipment enables more complex machining operations, including spline machining, while reducing setups and supporting in-house production of drivetrain components.

RisengDesign also specialises in the overhaul and modification of Ford T5 gearboxes, a field Andreas has worked in since 2006. This includes gearbox rebuilding, machining, and the installation of performance gearsets from manufacturers such as Quaife and G-Force.

Today, RisengDesign develops and manufactures specialist components for Ford Cosworth applications, including billet WRC-style hubs, billet camshaft covers as well as cast and billet differentials. Design, material selection and machining are handled with a focus on functional performance, precision and attention to detail.
